Today is the big day! PICC line insertion and chemo round 1!

9:30am I had a small procedure at Toronto General to get my Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter put in . It's basically a tube that goes from my arm to my heart. Getting it in was pretty scary but it will make everything easier... bloodwork, chemo... no more needles for me!! The technologist and nurse were amazing. They kept me talking and distracted from everything going on. The whole process was around 20 minutes.

10:30am was chemo time! We walked over to Princess Margaret and signed in. Once I got my chair, everything went pretty smooth. Was a breeze compared to the procedure I just had. Friends and family that work at the hospital came to say hi. Two hours flew by pretty quick. Soon I was napping on the car ride home.

Overall, the day went as well planned.

Was it scary? Yes. Very.

Did I get through it? Hell ya.
