First time meeting my new hematologist, Dr. Crump at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Traffic was a nightmare! Took 1.5 hours to get downtown. First we met a nurse who took my vitals, then someone from the AYA clinic to talk fertility, and then the fellow who had my CT results. Lots of information but I really only wanted my results. The CT showed the nodes on my neck as well as a mass in my chest (8x5x3cm). That was something new we didn't know about. Also my liver was enlarged which could mean the disease has got to it. Right now they say it's stage 2 because everything looks to be in my neck and chest. Time to pray that the PET scan says my liver is fine.

As we are leaving, the fellow says "go get bloodwork done before you leave." I go into instant panic mode. The last time was okay but it takes a lot of mental preparation to say go. We put numbing cream on my arm and waited for that to work while getting coffee. It 4 hours of crying, hyperventilating, and negotiating for them to get blood from my arm. They will definitely remember me next time.
