Today I found out I have Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Well... cancer.

Taking the bus home from McMaster, I never thought my test results would be so scary. I had these bumps on my necks but no other signs that it was cancer. Today was supposed to be the day my doctor says, "Everything is fine." But I guess life wouldn't be exciting without surprises.

I got home from the bus with my dad and my mom was at home waiting for us. I started eating some lunch but couldn't resist asking if they heard the results. Their worried silence said it all. Something was wrong and soon we were sitting on the couch having a tough conversation.

Next, we went to see a hematologist at North York General. She said a lot of big words but I had too much on my mind to really be okay with listening. All I wanted was to go back a few hours and still be sitting in morning lecture with my friends.
